This piece is heavily inspired by Alvin Lucier's "I Am Sitting In a Room" and is written for any pitched instrument and live electronics. The piece functions in a similar way to Lucier's work, by re-recording a solo improvised performance several times and playing it back into the room, until the frequencies of the instrument have merged with the room frequencies. This performance  involves listening to a recording evolve over time and hearing it merge with the performance space in a live setting. By doing so, the performer, audience and space become interconnected and contribute to a soundscape like an orchestra would. I Am Sitting In A Room With... is intended for gallery and non-traditional music spaces. For performing enquiries refer to the Contact page.
