A piece written about the mundane repetitions of our lives today, the frustration of logging in anywhere and forgetting your password or being denied access. The piece is written for 2 bass clarinets, 1 tenor sax, 2x electric guitar (+ effects), electric bass (+ effects) and electronics. The electronic track presents a tape recording of an automated voice stating "Access Denied" or "Please re-enter password". Due to the analogue quality of the tape, the sounds sound distorted and fragile. Similarly, the MIDI sounds of the main melodic motif, which is improvised and varied slightly throughout the piece, were recorded first on tape and then played back with live instruments during the performance, blurring the boundaries between modern technology, analogue technology and acoustic sounds.
